Terms of Service

Welcome to Clearlane Cleaning LLC. (“Clearlane Cleaning,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By booking or using our cleaning services, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please review them carefully, as they outline the conditions of your service and your responsibilities as a client.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not book or use our services and cancel your cleaning immediately. We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time without prior notice, and your continued use of our services after any update will signify your agreement to the revised Terms.

1. Who We Are

Clearlane Cleaning LLC is a locally owned and operated cleaning service based in Texas. We provide residential and commercial cleaning using screened, background-checked, and insured independent cleaning professionals.

2. Communication

For questions, issues, or compliments, please contact us at [email protected]. We stand behind the quality of our work and welcome your feedback. Your input helps us refine our services and ensure we consistently deliver the level of detail our clients expect. If you’re satisfied with your cleaning service, we’d appreciate a review on your preferred social platform.

3. Service Scope

Services are provided based on our published cleaning checklists for Standard, Deep, Move-In/Move-Out, and Airbnb Turnover cleans.

Services do not include lifting heavy items, cleaning biohazards (e.g., pet/human waste, mold, rodent droppings), or tasks restricted by safety/insurance limitations.

Add-ons (inside oven, fridge, cabinets, etc.) must be booked in advance.

4. Satisfaction Guarantee

We offer a 24-hour clean guarantee. If any checklist item is missed, you must notify us within 24 hours and provide photos of the area in question. Once verified, we will gladly return to re-clean the area at no additional cost. The 24-hour clean guarantee period begins immediately upon completion of your scheduled service and our team’s departure from the property. Issues reported after the 24-hour window, or without accompanying photos, fall outside of our guarantee.

Refunds and discounts are not part of our standard policy, and resolution is limited to a re-clean if notified during this 24-hour period.

5. Exceptions and Limitations of the Guarantee

Our 24-hour clean guarantee applies only to the work performed during your scheduled service and within the scope of the cleaning checklist booked. We cannot be held responsible for conditions, spills or damages that occur after our team has completed the service, including but not limited to those caused by pets, children, guests, or regular household activity.

The guarantee also does not extend to:

- Pre-existing damage or wear and tear

- Areas that are cluttered or inaccessible at the time of service

- Items or tasks not included in the cleaning checklist or selected add-ons

- Safety-restricted tasks (e.g., lifting heavy objects, cleaning biohazards, or climbing beyond approved limits)

To avoid misunderstandings, we recommend conducting a brief walkthrough at the end of your service. Any concerns must be reported with photos within 24 hours of completion in order to qualify under the guarantee.

6. Payment & Billing

Payment is required by credit or debit card only; we do not accept cash for services. However, you are welcome to tip your cleaning professional(s) in cash or add a tip to your booking via credit or debit card. Tipping is always optional but greatly appreciated by our team.

A pre-authorization hold will be placed up to 48 hours before your service. If you book within 48 hours, the hold will be immediate.

Cards are charged only after service completion.

Overdue invoices beyond 90 days may be referred to collections.

7. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Cancellations more than 24 hours in advance are refundable (minus any hold release time from your bank).

Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment are charged 50% of the full service amount.

If our cleaners are unable to access your property, are denied entry upon arrival, or cannot safely provide service due to uncontained pets, the appointment will be treated as a lockout. Lockouts are subject to a fee equal to 80% of the full service amount.

When you book a cleaning, we reserve dedicated time on our team’s schedule just for your home. Last-minute cancellations make it difficult for us to reassign that time, which creates both scheduling challenges and lost revenue. Whenever possible, we’re happy to work with you on rescheduling or finding another solution to keep your appointment (e.g., completing the cleaning at the originally scheduled time without your presence).

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible, and no later than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment to avoid fees. Our team will make every effort to accommodate a new time. For questions about our cancellation policy or to discuss your circumstances, please contact us directly via email or phone call.

8. Damages & Liability

If damage to property occurs during the course of a scheduled cleaning service and is reasonably determined to have been caused by the actions of our cleaning professional(s), Clearlane Cleaning will take appropriate steps, in its sole discretion, to repair or replace the affected item(s). Our liability is strictly limited to such corrective action and shall not exceed the value of the service provided on the date of the incident.

Exclusions

Clearlane Cleaning shall not be held responsible for: (i) pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, or defects in property or items that are improperly installed, secured, or maintained; (ii) intangible or perceived conditions, including but not limited to dust in vents, allergens, or microbial presence; or (iii) damages or conditions arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to the actions of pets, children, third parties, or incidents occurring after completion of the cleaning service.

Reporting Requirements for Damages

All damage claims must be reported to Clearlane Cleaning in writing with supporting photographs within twenty-four (24) hours of service completion. Claims submitted after this period will not be eligible for review or coverage under these terms.

9. Customer Responsibilities

Access and Utilities

To ensure services can be completed safely and effectively, clients are required to provide safe access to the property along with running water and electricity at the time of service. Utilities must be connected and functioning at the time of your appointment. If running water or electricity is not available inside the property when our team arrives, the cleaning cannot be completed. In this situation, the appointment will be treated as a lockout and an 80% fee of the total service amount will apply to cover lost time and travel.

Pets and Clutter

Pets must be secured, and excessive clutter or obstructions should be removed prior to the cleaners’ arrival. For the health and safety of our cleaning professionals, we do not service homes with active flea infestations or those requiring the removal of animal waste. If, at any time, our team feels unsafe due to the behavior of pets on the premises, we reserve the right to stop or refuse service. In such cases, the appointment will be treated as a lockout and the applicable lockout fee will apply.

Security Alarm Systems

If the property is equipped with a security system, the client must either disable the alarm on the day of service or provide Clearlane Cleaning with clear instructions to properly disable it. Clearlane Cleaning is not liable for accidental activation of a security alarm system during the course of cleaning.

Special Instructions

Please note that you can enter special instructions (e.g., gate code, alarm code, other helpful details) when booking your appointment online or at any time before your scheduled service by logging into your customer portal and updating your appointment.

10. Safety Restrictions

Lifting and Equipment Use

For the safety of our cleaning professionals and in compliance with insurance guidelines, our team members are not permitted to lift or move heavy objects, climb ladders higher than two steps, or use furniture as a stepstool.

Hazardous Materials

We also do not handle hazardous materials or clean areas deemed unsafe. This includes, but is not limited to, biohazards such as blood, bodily fluids, animal waste, mold, mildew, rodent or insect infestations, chemicals, or any other substances that may pose health or safety risks. If such conditions are present and not disclosed, our cleaners may refuse or discontinue service, and the appointment may be treated as a lockout with applicable fees.

Home Repairs and Unsafe Conditions

It is the client’s responsibility to disclose any known safety hazards in advance of the scheduled service, even if they are unrelated to hazardous materials. Examples include active home repairs or remodels (such as an entryway under construction or a bathroom renovation), exposed electrical work (such as unfinished outlets or wiring), or unstable/restricted areas (such as broken stair railings or loose flooring). If such conditions exist, our team will make every effort to clean around them safely or avoid the affected area, but Clearlane Cleaning reserves the right to refuse entry to unsafe spaces.

Liability for Undisclosed Hazards

Clearlane Cleaning shall not be liable for any damage, delay, or injury resulting from undisclosed hazards.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or service failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, power outages, or government restrictions.

12. Legal Compliance

By booking and using our services, you agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Clearlane Cleaning reserves the right to review and investigate any reported complaints or violations and to take appropriate action when necessary. This may include cooperating with law enforcement, reporting suspected unlawful activity, or sharing relevant information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Clients are also responsible for ensuring that the service location is free from illegal activity or conditions that would make it unlawful or unsafe for cleaning services to be performed.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute, claim, or cause of action arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services provided must be brought exclusively in the courts of Texas. Legal action must be filed within one (1) year of the alleged cause of action; any claim not filed within this period will be permanently barred.

14. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the remaining sections remain enforceable.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the full agreement between you and Clearlane Cleaning LLC and supersede any prior communications or understandings.
